Friends remains one of my favorite TV shows of all time and the cheesecake episode, where Chandler and Rachel keep eating the cheesecakes accidentally delivered to them instead of their neighbor, is one of my favorites. Especially when Joey takes a fork out of his pocket to join Rachel and Chandler as they eat the cheesecake off the floor.
I made a cheesecake for Easter. It was good. So good that you would want to eat it off the floor.
- 4 packages cream cheese, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a springform pan with cooking spray. Mix graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar together. Press into bottom of pan and bake for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese and beat until softened. Add vanilla and sour cream and mix well. Then add sugar, eggs and flour. Mix until smooth.
Pour batter over baked shell and bake for one hour or until middle is almost set. Remove from oven. Run a knife along pan edges and cool for 5 minutes until loosening springform pan. Refrigerate at least four hours. Can be refrigerated overnight.
Serve plain or with toppings of your choice.
